The title is kind of weird but I’m on the hunt to fill up my pantry with some dried spices and seasonings and wanted to see what everyone else used. I’m looking for a good taco seasoning ASAP in particular. Are either of these go to’s for people? I also read somewhere vanilla extract from McCormick was gluten free is this valid? I need that too. Thanks online celiac family!

The Spicley I got, was good, it is unsalted so their is that, I add a bit more cumin when I use it but I grew up in a Mexican family. Vanilla I use LorrAnn, you can generally find it in the specialty cake section of Walmart not with the bakery items.

I love the Spicely Organic Taco Seasoning. I just used some last night. The McCormick is suppose to be gluten-free but I always seem to have a reaction to something in the Taco and Chili mix. I don't know if it's from gluten but there is something in it. They also have a Fajita mix too but I always get one or the other. They taste pretty similar. The Italian and Sausage mixes are pretty good too.

Ennis do you get all your spices mainly from spicley organics? I seen they were certified. Had any problems with them before?

Thanks pdm1981 I’m going to order the taco seasoning. Now I’m excited!

Gluten no...had one batch of cinnamon with a bad grind that was sand texture...I buy 1lb a month and it only happened once in over 6 years. Had a batch of szechuan pepper corns that was mostly twigs last year.....Just know most of their seasonings lack salt, and are chef style so they are not overly powerful but subtle and to compliment dishes not smother them.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
