I ate four twizzlers last night, not know that “enriched wheat flour” is a main ingredient. However, I did not have a bad reaction! Has anyone else experienced this?

Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder that is triggered by gluten.  Exposure to gluten causes antibodies to start building. Everyone is different.  Some react quickly and others take days for symptoms to occur.  Some celiacs are even asymptomatic. 

Do you have celiac disease or a wheat allergy (which presents differently)?  

In any case, I would read labels ever single time you eat something if you are trying to avoid gluten.  Read our Newbie 101 section under “Coping” to avoid future mistakes.

      Acid reflux GERD can cause coughing due to esophagus irritation.

      I had lyme disease for about 14 years and was also diagnosed with celiac disease about midway through.  I had bad leaky gut food and chemical sensitivity like crazy dental issues I had to go on a really strict diet for 4 years to heal my gut and see a lyme Dr to heal the lyme disease  Both sides of my family are celiac
