bran muffins

I have a hankering to make carrot bran muffins (after I get over my current tummy issues). I found a gluten-free recipe but it calls for Bob's oat bran. The package says gluten-free but the back ingredients list does not indicate certified gluten-free oats.

I sometimes eat certified gluten-free oatmeal and have no trouble.

What's the deal with Bob's?

As I remember, Bob's does their own gluten-free program.  I think they were doing it before there were certifications.  If it says gluten-free, then it is.  Not every company feels the need to pay to put a seal on their package.  It isn't like the certifying organization is actually checking or testing.  Its just training and an agreement - the companies still have to monitor it themselves.

I have a very timid tummy after 13 years of strict gluten free.  If I try to eat like my pals, I burn.

I particularly try to get lots of red meat, mostly beef.  I'm slightly anemic, which isn't uncommon in celiacs.  Red meat is healthy for us and the environment.

I had lyme disease for about 14 years and was also diagnosed with celiac disease about midway through.  I had bad leaky gut food and chemical sensitivity like crazy dental issues I had to go on a really strict diet for 4 years to heal my gut and see a lyme Dr to heal the lyme disease  Both sides of my family are celiac
