Tounge Turning Black ......

My husband woke up this morning and when he went into the bathroom to shower and brush his teeth he noticed the back of his tounge was black in splotches. Has anyone else had this happen or know what it could be a sign of? I was worried about dehydration. I am waiting until the doctor's office opens and I'm going to call - but I'm impatient at waiting so I thought I'd check on here to pass the time. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Pepto bismol products often turn the tounge and feces black. Ask him if he has taken any pepto. Hope that helps.

Thanks Jessica. I just came across a site about pepto causing this and everyone (a long list of complainers) said they had black spit and it brushes off same as my husbands. And yes he took two pepto last night before bed. Thanks again for the help.

I'm glad to see that you got answers. I hope that he's doing fine now. :)

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
