Stubborn Yeast Infection In Toddler

I have a nephew who may or may not have celiac (has not been tested yet) and he has had a yeast infection for almost 6 months. The doctor gave his mom cream to treat it and now they jsut apply OTC Vagisil. Any suggestions for a stubborn yeast infection?

Me and my kids have this problem a lot...but now that I think about it we havne't since starting a gluten-free diet...interesting.....anyway, give him acidophilis. Yogurt and buttermilk have it, but you can get a chewable vitamin type at the drug store that is good. I use Mason's brand because it's gluten free. I take a pill form, but give my son this. A prescription cure that is great if fluconozole. It's a one pill form for adults, but there is a liquid form for kids that worked great for my infant daughter. yeast infections run in my family terribly bad. I've got more experience that I ever wanted. Another thing is to let the area get air. Go w/out a diaper if he's in one, or just without clothes some if he isn't, even if it's just to sleep. My dd suffered for many months with candida before she way diagnosised with celiac disease. You might go to Open Original Shared Link. I also went on this program as well as my dd for several months. You can search the forum for questions pertaining to children. They are are very supportive forum that have a professional that comes online to answer questions.

We've used many different probiotics with dd. It is helpful to have a supplement that doesn't contain too much sugar, if any. The latest one we've tried is gluten-free & CF. The product is forumlated for children by UAS Labs. The supplement is in a base of rice powder. I usually sprinkle the powder in her drink and she dosen't even know it's in there.

Try this website, candidafree.com. They know so much about yeast infections. Read the testimonials - they have helped so many parents and kids. You can email them - their address is posted at the bottom of their home page and they will email you back within 24 hours. So much good info on this website as well.

      But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

      I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets...

      M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values. Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. I use them as a gluten free substitute...

      I see it everyday on my feeds. They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts. I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field. Some days I would just like to scream. So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach...

Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver.After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
