I was watching Conan O'Brien last night and one of his guests was Sarah Vowell. She is an author and also did the voice for Violet in The Incredibles. One of her comments was how playing a superhero only accentuated her weaknesses, one of which is being allergic to wheat. Conan thought it was hilarious that there is a community for people with "wheat allergies" (I checked and she has celiac), and even a magazine. He thought that was really weird. She was saying how some magazines are called Vogue or Mademoiselle, but hers is called Living Without. She was like "how depressing is that? Why not just name it Loser?" She was so funny! I kept wishing I could read lips so I could see if he was asking her dumb questions like "can you just eat white bread?" Did anyone else see the interview?

No darn it. I saw was going to be on but missed it would have loved to have seen it.

At least she's talking about it.

Esp. That there was a magazine for her...how funny she must have been.

OMG! That is so funny! I tuned in near the tail end of the interview. They didn't say anything about wheat allergy or celiac, but Conan made some joke about her being attacked by a wheat bagel. I thought that was weird and I joked to my BF that she must be gluten intolerant, but totally not thinking that was it. I just thought we'd missed the earlier part of the joke. I guess we can't expect much better than joking from Conan!

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
