Have you had the Enjoy life snack bars?

They are okay but compared to the box the snack bars are small. And then when you open the package to get to the bar it is even smaller  I don't think they are worth the money.

Just wanted to let you know they are really small. Same with their cereal. I opened the box to find a smaller package about 1/2 full.

Anyone else find this to be annoying?

Hahahah...I feel the same. What a rip-off.

I bought glutino cereal bars. Need like 3 of them for a complete breakfast.

Maybe so.. but when you deal with multiple intolercens/allergens at once (wife has nut, son has egg, gluten, etc) they are a great and easy choice.

I was also surprised by the smallness when I first got a box, but as Vincent said--sometimes you have to take what we can get! I did just recently try the glutano breakfast bars--they taste like nutragrain bars, pretty good I thought...

They are small but taste good and are easy for my dd who can't have gluten or dairy.

Yes, it was quite a shock the first time I opened the bars or the cereal. I was mad at first, but then realized 1)the weight, etc. is listed on the package; no I don't usually pay attention, but it's there; 2) the food tastes good, imo, and they are a dedicated facility. This manufacturer has never caused me to have a tummy ache. That's worth a lot!

They are small, but they are one of the few snacks that I can toss in my purse and have on hand for "emergencies" I also like them for breakfast, two of them with some fruit...

I agree, it stinks that they are small and cost so much, but the comfort in knowing I'm safe is worth it. Plus, they are the only bars that I can get in my city that I can have. The only ones that don't have atleast one of my allergies in them!

I have been having a hard time finding cereal bars for my daughter to take to school. She hates them all so finally I made my own. I used a recipe and added some of my own stuff. After they cooled off I cut them into squares and wrapped them in wax paper. I froze some too. They passed the taste test - similar to quaker choc. chip bars.

Recipe- 1/2 c brown sugar-1/4 c dark corn syrup-1/3 c sweetened condensed mild-2TBSP butter- 1/2 tsp vanilla- 31/2 c granola( I used the enjoy life granola cereal- it tastes nasty by itself but worked in this recipe) 1 c crispy brown rice cereal.

Mix sugar, corn syrup, milk, butter and vanilla together. Add both cereals and mix . It will be very sticky. Press into a greased 9" by 13" pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. After about 10 minutes I took them out of the oven and put semi sweet choc chips all over the top and baked for another 10 minutes. Then I let them cool about 15 minutes and cut them .

They were really good and really quick to make. Hope this helps you guys out. jackie

Jackie, thanks so much for that recipe! I'm going to have to try that! Do you mind if I share the recipe in our local support groups newsletter and in the column I write for my local health food store's newspaper?

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
