My daughter has been invited to sing at a festival in Druskininkai, Lithuania. She is coeliac and information available online seems very limited. Is there anyone who can help me please?

- Is it easy to find gluten free foods in supermarkets?

- Are there restaurants in Druskininkai that cater for coeliacs?

I would appreciate any help and suggestions you could give me.

Thank you,

Cristina

I don't think there is a Coeliac Society in Lithuania.

Here's a list of Coeliac Societies in Europe ... https://www.aoecs.org/about-us/members/

I would suggest contacting AOECS for information ... https://www.aoecs.org/about-us/. Or contact the societies in adjacent countries who may be able to help ... Latvia, Poland, Estonia.

Net maži glitimo kiekiai gali man padaryti labai blogai.

Prašau padėti man išlikti saugiam, užtikrindami, kad mano patiekalas būtų visiškai be glitimo. Tai reiškia, kad neturėtumėte naudoti jokių kviečių miltų ar kitų glitimą turinčių ingredientų, įskaitant padažus, sriubas ir užpilus. Ačiū už jūsų supratingumą ir bendradarbiavimą.

Hello, I suffer from a serious condition called celiac disease, and I cannot eat anything that contains gluten. Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. This means I cannot eat bread, pasta, cakes, or anything made with wheat flour. Even small amounts of gluten can make me very sick.

Please help me stay safe by ensuring that my meal is completely gluten-free. This means not using any wheat flour or other gluten-containing ingredients, including sauces, soups, and dressings. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
