Okay.......ranch dressing with one carrott or punch with Hawaiian punch in it. So where is the gluten. Returned home and had the big D and BIGGER stomach.

My bet it was the punch. What do you think? Shamoo tonight. <_<

really it could be either thing... also, were people dipping other things into the ranch dressing before you dipped your carrot? Sorry you are feeling badly...

TCA Contributor

Hidden Valley Ranch has gluten, but Kraft is ok. No telling what was in the punch. CC could be it too.

Rusla Enthusiast

It could be either or both. I am sorry you are having this problem. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks guys, working it out as we speak <_< It is sooo hard to go to functions and be polite. Everyone noticed that I was not eating, so I tried to look around and try what I though would be safe. As in the "Indiana Jones movie".....I choose poorly. Another lesson learned. Ugg, again. Feel better now though. A good night speep and I should be good to go in the morning. I don't think that I have the three day glutten experience. I feel lucky.

Thanks for your responses.

Hey Lisa!

This is on delphi:

Hawaiian Punch (DPSU - Cadbury Schwepps) (800-696-5891) (Open Original Shared Link ) (vp=07/02/03)

All varieties (may contain corn)

Hawaiian Punch is gluten free. My money would be on the dressing!

I hope you are feeling better tomorrow!

Hugs!

Karen

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
