Dr Not Knowlegable

I'm totally understandable on that. My son was just diagonased gluten intollerant, he has been very sick for quite some time. They kept putting him thru the ringer running all kinds of tests without any answers. I kept telling them that evertime he ate it didn't matter what it was he got very ill. So they assumed it was his gallbladder and they removed it but that still didn't help. All they had to do was some blood work to test him for this and it wasn't done. When I brought to my sons Dr. attention that Eric could possibly have Celiac and I wanted him tested for it, it was like pulling teeth. I was ready to walk out of the office before he decided to call my sons GI an do the blood work that needed to be done. He was in such denial that Eric could have this cause he kept saying it was all in Eric's head he needed to see a therapist. Needless to say the test came back positive ( he did it twice cause he said it could be a false positive yea right). He made the remark that this was beyond his expertise. I wonder where he got his degree. I'll be looking for a new Dr. too but just don't know where. Good Drs. are hard to find anymore. I feel for you totally. Lots of luck...

Many doctors are not knowledgable and it is like pulling teeth to get them to do the test. Then they do it wrong by not giving you the information you need to do the test. Of course they don't give you the information because they know nothing about it. It is one big vicious circle.
