Okay I just want to be sure I read this right, here are my sons scores after being gluten-free for over a week...

(test was done 5/18/2005, but I am revisiting tests latly...)

GLIADIN IGG ABS 53.9 (normal <25)

GLIADIN IGA ABS 12.0 (normal <25)

IGA QUANTITATIVE BLO 65 (normal 14-159)

ANTI TTG 0.1 (normal not listed)

I have taken this to be a postive test result. IgA goes down with gluten-free diet, and the diet has been so mircalous in the cure I taken that to be a confirmation. Am I right?

It also has a note that says

For celiac disease, IgG anitbodies are more sensitve than IgA, but IgA are more specific then IgA antibodies. The level of IgA antibodes decreases with a gluten-free diet. IgA and IgG rise signifgantly durring gluten challage, sometimes sevearl months befor clincal relapse.

Oh forgot to mention the bispoy showed "damage consitient with a reaction to food". Thats what the lab said. And it was recomend we check for issue with foods. Nothing specific at all. :(

Vincent, the bloodwork shows that Tymber has a severe reaction to something. His intestines showed damage, and he had an amazing response to the gluten free diet. That translates into a firm diagnosis as far as I am concerned.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
