Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Lisa,

This is the BEST news I've heard all day!! :D

I'm SOOOOO excited for you!! I actually feel really good about this Dr. I agree with everything shes saying.

You do need proper supplementation...protective agents and things to support your immune system and detox are critical during amalgam removal. You havent been taking things and thats why you've been getting worse each time you get a filling removed.

The supplements are just as important as what the dentist is doing to remove the fillings as safely as possible. He can only do so much....you have to take care of the rest. You have to make sure you support your system.....sounds like this Dr. knows what shes doing. :)

I'm also VERY glad that shes telling you that you CANNOT allow yourself to be constipated. You need to be getting this stuff out or its gonna redistribute itself to other areas of your body. I'm happy that shes stressing this issue.

I dont even think you need to worry about mold in the magnesium citrate because I *think* you said that yours did not contain citric acid.

Even if it did...and even if you're having some discomfort from it....its way more important to make sure you're not constipated. If the enemas or anything else you've tried is not working...then you have to go with what does work.

The magnesium citrate I took didnt cause any bm's at all....nada.....it just gave me a bad allergic type reaction in my head. If the stuff is cleaning you out then thats all that matters right now....I think you should take it since the warm water enemas did not work.

Oh...and I LOVE that she acknowledges that the candida is only there because of the mercury!! B) Some Dr.'s are ignorant and go about treating candida as if it became a problem all on its own....it doesnt work that way and I'm glad your Dr. is on top of everything.

YAY!!

I was really worried about you getting worse and worse w/out having proper guidance. I feel totally relieved that this Naturopath seems capable of getting you through this. :)

I'm so happy I could totally scream too!

I was kinda worried that she wouldnt be knowledgeable....its SOOO hard to find Dr.'s who have any clue about this....let alone alot of experience. I feel pretty confident that this lady knows her stuff and I'm really excited to hear how things go on Monday!!

Dont forget to let us know how things go. :)

Lisa,

Is it at all possible your Mom and Dad could go with you on Monday?? That way they could get a better idea of all that you're going through and also it will be good for them (and you!) to hear that you WILL get better from this. :)

Oh Lisa....I am soooooo happy for you!!!! Yay! I was truly getting worried about you and this NP sounds very, very good! And yes, perhaps only a teaspoon or less rather than a tablespoon.

Silly Rhonda...indeed, where do you think you are.

GRUMP!!! That is a great story...it sounds like you had a great time! Phew, so glad the car was still there...was the camera?

one was - fresh garden salad......and the other was, garden tomatoes....... the other two food choices were equally bizarre

That is just so wrong!

When in Willow Glen which coffee place do u 2 walk to? I'd guess it's her "usual" and that it's almost certainly Peet's or Starbucks (either in that order or depending on which is slightly closer) but I swear the WGCRC (CoffeeRoastingCo) is far superior in all ways.

Hum, wonder if the WGCRC is related to the Campbel CRC? Have one just down the street from me. :P Too bad I can't drink it right now... Hum, maybe I can just have one ONCE in a while.

Jin, if you are not dairy-intolerant, try taking some shredded sharp cheddar cheese and frying little mounds of it in a little butter (flip with a spatula to fry both sides). Yum Yum Yum!!!!

I uesd to do this too...yummy. I didn't do it with the butter, but hey, if you can do dairy, do the butter, cuz everything is better with butter. :P

So, the pipes needed to be cleaned. waiting for mag citrate to take effect

It's been 2 hours and so far nada. Gosh I hope it's outta me soon. YUCK a DOOKIE

Oh, hope that goes okay for ya!

Oh and grrrrrrr - turns out my newly REdiscovered REinfatuation w/ music has a downside. W/ the Stones' "Sticky Fingers" blarin' (best rock'n'roll album EVER btw), I was rockin' at a stoplight hard enough I hurt my neck!!! LOL and boohoo

To paraphrase a wise man... well dahyum, that ain't no fun!

Hum, wonder if the WGCRC is related to the Campbell CRC? Have one just down the street from me. :P

I got to know the place well enough that I'll have to say no. And nothing ownership-related to w/ LGCRC either. (Darn good one tho)

There was a stretch where I thought I'd tried them all in a 10mi radius :D but never heard of CampbellCRC. Oh wait - if it's downtown I didn't go looking there. Bit out of the way.

Barefoot Coffee in Santa Clara was the winner - just like the Metro says.

Dear tom,

I always have a notebook and pen handy! I am an artist and writer. You know how that is. I have a compulsion to draw and write. I also have a stationary fetish. I will have no trouble recording my food diary.

I find your obliviousness hilarious as well! I must say your naivite is quite refreshing at times. It is nice to know things other people do not all the time! That leaves more to say later. It is not good to reveal all of your secrets at once!

Frico? There is a name for you! It sounds like something you call that lunatic on the street. That is my guess. I need to try this. I have to be careful, though. I cannot overdo the fat.

Dear Alison,

I have never tried that. I can tolerate cheese, but not high lactose items. No pudding or yogurt allowed! It makes me as sick as gluten! :( I will take some Smart Balance and try that with some cheese.

Dear Lisa,

I am so happy for you! You are finally going to get to see your Naturopathic Doctor! :D That is terrific! We will all be anxious to hear how your appointment goes next week! Only one week to go!

Sorry I made you want Cheez-Its. They are so good! At least now I know I might be able to recreate them, but need to work on that. Maybe I will be able to create them and give you the recipe. I know you should begin feeling better soon.

Dear Grump,

What a wonderful story! I especially like the part about you knocking your son in the water! I am so glad you had such a great time! It sounds really fun! Plus, you got fish! :)

Dear Bev,

I am sorry to hear you are having a tough time. Too much ski ball could be the cause! It is a sport, you know! ;)

That is an arcade champion event! Only we have the power! Maybe the brain fog and headache will go away soon.

Being exhaustipated does not help! :( Dookie Drano is what you need! I am sure the Magnesium Citrate will work soon enough. Do not take more! Overdoing it is much more dangerous than underdoing it sometimes.

Sincerely,

Jin

Lisa- that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really happy for you!

Rachel- Thank you thank you thank you for the coffee enema info. It's doesn't always unclog the pipes but it always helps with the "toxic headache". I actually was able to take angus for a walk about an hour after because I was less concerned about my head exploding in public :P

I'm realizing how important it is NOT to be constipated, especially with all the toxins and i am ready, willing and able to do whatever is necessary :P:rolleyes::ph34r:

Thanks guys for all your positive comments.

Yeah Rachel I do get a head thing from the magnesium citrate, more sensitive to lights and noise and head pressure. I feel that it can be a detox agent of some sort too? I don't know but the whey protein does this to me as well. Charcoal doesn't. I hope the prunes and apple juice help out too. I hope I can tolerate that. To drink something different than water and lukewarm chicken broth would be great.

Yeah my mom is going with me on Monday. The weather in fresno is over 100 degrees and I don't have air in my car so she is taking me in hers. My appointment is at 9:30 but it starts getting hot at around 10:00 a.m. I just can't wait. No wonder I have been feeling worse.

I was afraid it was the dentist and I was going to have to see a new one.

By the way how is the oxypowder, anything good coming from that yet?

When I have to go number 2 I need reading material, always have. I got this book from my little brothers closet.

*RICKY RICOTTA'S*

GIANT ROBOT

VS. THE MUTANT MOSQUITOES FROM MERCURY

Go Figure.

Oh and Chapter 3 is Titled: Mr. Mosquito Hates Mercury! ^_^

Yesterday was bad pain and today is brain fog. Can't concentrate long enough to do all the reading to catch up but wanted to pop in and say hi! TOTALLY brain dead.

I've had a major realization- my Exploding Head Syndrome I believe is a toxic headache. I get it much worse when I am constipated. :(

So, the pipes needed to be cleaned. waiting for mag citrate to take effect

I get this way too! Especially when I take Magnesium Citrate. Plus I get pressure in my throat.

Mia

You seem really fustrated with me. I know Mia I'm sorry. It's just that all this is new to me. I don't really know what it means about listening to your body and things. I guess when I get use to it, it will be more easy for me to answer my own questions.

Lisa

By the way how are you feeling MIA

Lisa-

sorry if i sounded harsh at all. I just don't want you to be more uncomfortable than you ahve to be . I know for me its hard not to want to do anything that can help but you sound just as sensitive as i am and that often means not being able to do these things. So I am just saying to take it easy with the supplements and so on and always start slow!!!

But the thing is it feels like someone who didn't start watching Seinfeld until, say, season 7, grew to know and like the characters etc, then started catching the reruns.

Just reading old pages w/out knowing most of the cast would definitely be a lot different and not near as worthwhile.

:):)

This is a neat analogy.

Going back ... ... scary.

Floridian cleared all her posts so you miss the fun with her unless it was quoted by someone.

Didn't know this ... why?

one was - fresh garden salad......and the other was, garden tomatoes....... the other two food choices were equally bizarre

How odd. Though I do crave things like sushi. I don't tend to crave chemical laden food ... or non-food. ;) I don't really crave anything .... I hate eating.

I also miss Big Macs and MacDonald's Fries!

This is one thing I miss. I think there are others here who miss them, too. Must have it with a Coke. :)

One time I asked the teenager behind the counter what was in the Big Mac. He looked like this  The manager was there and started to tell me, and I told them I was just joking, I know what's in it. The manager said that many people think they remember the song, but they always get something wrong. I told her I'd tell her if she'd give me a free Big Mac. I got the free Big Mac. :P

I suffer every day, Does that not count for any thing. :(

Yes, I'm sorry, I wish you didn't ... yet that has nothing to do with suffrage.

Sounds like you had a great day!

Talking about sweets, since I am latina I really miss pan dulce. MEXICAN SWEET BREAD.

I spent a summer in Mexico back when there weren't very many Hispanics up North (like in Ohio and Indiana). I LOVED the Mexican food, especially flan and mole! The last day there the lady we were staying with made me a huge bowl of flan after our dinner of mole!

I didn't have either again for years .... but now there are a lot of Mexicans here, so I can get good Mexican food anytime I want. :)

I remember the Mexican bakeries having incredible stuff .... no wonder I had a belly ache the whole nine weeks.

Hey found this out,

"The best forms of supplemental magnesium appear to be those chelated to an amino acid or a Krebs cycle intermediate such as citrate or malate. Krebs cycle intermediates are compounds utilized in the Krebs cycle (also known as the citric acid cycle), the metabolic process that produces energy within the cells. These forms of supplemental magnesium appear to be better utilized, absorbed and assimilated than inorganic mineral forms (i.e. carbonates, chlorides, oxides). In fact, research has shown that magnesium citrate is more soluble and more bioavailable, with respects to gastrointestinal absorbability, than magnesium oxide."

I also found that some of the ingredient in citrate is citric acid, hum.

I wonder if this would still be a problem? ?

Dear Carla,

That is so awesome that you got a free Big Mac! ;) Way to go! As you said, they also need to be eaten with a Coke! I was glad to find out from other members that Coke is safe. I was told by some others it was not. Now I know! I love Vanilla Coke! Sometimes, you just need a little bit!

Dear Mia,

We hope you get to do the testing first! That would really help on your appointment day. Having the information available is necessary for a good, productive visit with a doctor. When there are results back, there is more of an idea of what is wrong and how to fix it. You cannot treat a patient if you do not know what is causing the trouble.

Dear Lisa,

It sounds like you could be onto something there! What you said makes sense. Citric acid being fungus-derived is a problem for a lot of people probably. They just do not know it. Aspergillus does not sound appetizing. I have severe sensitivity to mold.

Sincerely,

NoGluGirl

We also would throw the buns in the fryer and fry them and then put sugar on them.

So much for the fries being gluten-free. :(

I'm glad you found a good doctor. This sounds very hopeful.

Well, the house auction was today. We didn't get it. The bank sends lawyers and buys back some of the auctioned houses. They have to be auctioned after foreclosure. The bank/lawyer paid more than it was worth. I'm sure they'll sell it now, so maybe we'll still get it. It doesn't really cost them anything to buy it since they're buying it from themselves. I guess they just think they can make more off it this way.

I'm glad we went though ... we drove the price up $50k from opening bid! That has to help OUR property value.

I went to see my gyn/doc today. I've gone to the same guy for about 17 years. Last year I told him about gluten, how I felt better off it, but all my tests came back negative. He said to quit looking for clinical proof as dietary response WAS clinical proof.

Anyway, I had to tell him about the Lyme because he needed to know what medications I was on (because of why I was there). He was totally anti-lyme. He told me the tests weren't perfect. I told him that the test was VERY positive, I had most of the symptoms, and I'm responding to treatment ...

He then told me he was sure I could find someone locally to treat me, that anyone treating only Lyme is suspicious and could be running a scam. I told him I didn't care, I was getting better and that's all that mattered.

I thought it was odd that he finds a Lyme specialist suspicious ... after all, he's a specialist, too ... should I also find him suspicious? What about an oncologist? What about a dermatologist? Or an orthodontist? Can every health complaint have specialists EXCEPT Lyme?

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with me ... I had a sore, but nothing serious ... he's also concerned that there may be inflammation, which could be true, after all, I'm killing a lot of bugs right now. Better safe than sorry ...but it was disturbing after all these years that he thought I was so ignorant, especially after his positive response to being gluten-free.

We aren't all into junk food and candy. I love my chocolate but due to the chemicals in most of the candy bars etc......I won't eat them.

I only have two words for you, Enjoy Life. :P:lol:

.....

I'm still finding greaut humour in my obliviouuusness.

Me too. :)

So glad you had such a wonderful day despite the suffering. :) What a great story.

...

My new naturopath just called me at home.

.....

That is wonderful news and how reassuring to know that the dentist you are seeing is the one to be seeing.

I know how scary it is to be in constant severe pain and I am sorry to hear that it is so much of your daily experience right now. :( I hope this doctor will be able to help you find some relief. :)

It even has a name!!!

Frico !

It can also be done w/out the butter in a (good) non-stick pan.

Med heat? Med high? Forgot!

Great  just what I need, CHEESE LUST.:lol:

It can also be done in the oven on parchment paper, I've made crackers with asiago that way, ;) fortunately there is not a scrap of cheese in the house or I would be on my way there.

Actually, back to my theory, in the name of research several weeks ago I ate a Hagan Daas ice cream bar. I did it purely for research, after all I have to know what the competition tastes like.:lol: I did enjoy eating it although I found it rather sweet but as soon as I was done eating it I could only taste a watery sugary flavour that wasn't that appealing. Blush, blush, the rinnebar is better. My sweetie thinks so too, therefore it must be so. LOL

P.S.

I have heard that good teflon can be used on medium heat but I think the consensus here is that it is evil.

Something else online I found out, hum?

Puneet asks about citric acid allergy.

No, citric acid is not a mold. It is produced by fruit to

protect the fruit from mold.

Yes, I used to have allergic symptoms similar to some you

list, especially the sore throat after drinking fruit juices.

I did not have asthma, but I did get sore throat and sores in

my mouth immediately after eating fresh fruit or fruit juices.

Yes, I used to think that I was allergic to citrus.

Something else I found out

Then, I found a dentist who told me that the sores in my mouth

could be related to my fillings, which were silver-mercury

amalgam. When I consumed fruit, the citric acid would cause

mercury to leach out of the fillings to be absorbed by the body.

I had my mercury-silver fillings removed and replaced, and

could immediately consume huge amounts of citrus fruit and juice

without symptoms.

Many other allergic reactions were reduced by over 90%, and

I recovered the cost of amalgam replacement in saving money that

I used to spend on antihistamines.

Dear Rinne,

I am sorry to hear you have Cheese Lust! It is difficult to deal with! I have had Frito Lust today. My parents eat all kinds of things I cannot have. It sucks.

I think you are right about the Teflon. Most people say it is evil! I am careful. I use it when I have to. It is just that the fumes coming off of it are a problem for me. I prefer not to use it all of the time. Mostly, I use the stainless steel pots.

They are great!

Dear Lisa,

That is encouraging news! That means it is not derived from mold? So it is not bad for you if you do not have mercury fillings? Is that what this means? I am wondering if this is an issue with people that could have mercury poisoning from other sources, like fish.

Dear Carla,

Oh, those fries! I miss them! Oh well, once I get a few bucks, I can go and get that Top Secret Recipes book that has the recipe in it. Then I can degluten it. I can pass along the recipe to my buddies, too!

That is too bad about the house. How unfortunate you did not get it. So what do you plan on doing now? Is there another property you are interested in? Maybe something else will come along.

Sincerely,

Jin

I will have no trouble recording my food diary.

Sweet!!! I think the biggest hurdle for most of us, well . . . .me :), is/was always having something to write with/on. Or was it the remembering to DO the writing immediately? Hmm I forget.

I find your obliviousness hilarious as well! . . . . . .

. . . . It is not good to reveal all of your secrets at once!

I'll bet no man, w/out having it pointed out to him, would think of how women would hate that slogan. Ok maybe some docs in the right specialties. Sometimes ignorance IS bliss!! :P:lol:

But . . . . SECRETS???!!

I ain't got no stinking SEcrets!!

Frico? There is a name for you! It sounds like something you call that lunatic on the street. That is my guess. I need to try this. I have to be careful, though. I cannot overdo the fat.

Dear Alison,

I have never tried that. . . . .

...... I will take some Smart Balance and try that with some cheese.

I remember now - I saw Fricos on Food Network Giada's "The Italian Kitchen".

The cheese has enough fat that no more is needed, but a good non-stick sure is needed. I wouldn't try it on a very scratched/gouged one.

She had several applications but the one that comes to mind was a wedge in a bowl of soup. Of course she HAD to use an italian cheese. Something betw mozza & parm - aged yet shreddable. Only guess is Peccorino.
