Super Easy gluten-free Chicken Cassarole (sp?)

My mom sent me this VERY fast and easy recipe...that is actually nutritious! I adapted it to be gluten-free...my hubby and I ate it up! :)

Super easy chicken cassarole (sp?):

1. two pouches of instant chicken flavored rice

(it only takes 60-90 seconds to make; it comes in a pouch and is microwavable! It's a new product made by several companies).

2. one large can white meat (or white/dark meat) chicken

(I had never had precooked/canned chicken before, but it's good and sold near the canned tuna)

3. one small can green beans

(or other veggie of your choice)

4. shredded or sliced sharp/mild cheese

5. (optional) gluten-free toasted bread crumbs as topping

Directions:

Microwave rice.

Stir in drained chicken and green beans, and shredded cheese

Add a teaspoon water/cover dish with aluminum foil/bake at 350 for 15-20 min.

Remove foil and add more cheese to top, along with (optional) toasted crumbs

Broil until cheese bubbles slightly.

Anyway, I thought I would share. It only took me five minutes to pour in the ingredients, 15 minutes to bake, and there was no mess to clean up because it was all done in my cassorole dish. So, just the dish and spoon needed to be washed. B)

Hope someone can use this! -Julie :)

Ok ya'll,

Uncle Ben's 90 second "Ready Rice" in the white rice, brown rice, and spanish style are gluten-free. (Just to make sure I called the company).

Because it's so convenient, it's more expensive than regular rice, but for a once-a-week treat to myself (so I don't have to "cook")...it is worth it. :)

The chicken-flavored 90 second DOES contain gluten, but any rice can become chicken-flavored with gluten-free chicken broth or a boullion cube.

If you want to use the 10-min. rice instead, simply boil the rice in gluten-free canned chicken broth or with a boullion cube instead of plain water. The whole dinner should still take less than 30 minutes...including clean-up. B)

Hope you enjoy! :)

I just tried this and it was great... and easy! My husband and 2yr old liked it and thats a feat. It even got the two year old to eat green beans, which he never does.

Thanks again,

Stephanie

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
