Question About Breads In The Bread Machine

For those of you who use Bette Hagman's "gluten-free Gourmet Bakes Bread"... I noticed someone said they use their bread machine. Do you have any tips for using a bread machine with her recipes? Any favorite recipe to use in the bread machine? I'm always looking for shortcuts here and there.

Thanks!

My family likes the Four Flour Bread on pages 42-43. You mix up the dry ingredients on page 41 and then just measure up what you need to make it in your machine. My machine will make the small or medium batch but NOT the large. (I tried it the first time and spend over an hour trying to clean up the mess!) I put liquids, dry mixture and yeast on top like my machine sugests.

Last time I made it I just dumped the wet ingredients in without beating them together and the bread still turned out. I like this recipe because once you have the mix made up you only have 5 other things to measure and dump--way easier than all the other bread recipes I've tried. Also, it seems less crumbly in the bread machine than when I made this in the oven--don't know why.

Hope this helps-if you have other ?s I'll try to answer them. My husband isn't very adventurous so once we found a recipe he liked we didn't experiment further. :) Kendra

We make all her breads in the bread machine...there should be instruction on most recipies which settings to use (usually white bread and light vrust)

I like the yogurt bread (unless you can't have milk) or the quinoa bread. Do nothave page references for you though....we had to experiment, but they are all pretty good.

Good luck :D

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
