Rebuilding A Rectum

I have never heard of someone having surgery to rebuild their rectum until today. A client of mine (owner of company I work with) is having such surgery and then will be in recovery for a few months. The person who told me did so in an e-mail and the explanation given her was the woman had trouble giving birth and got messed up down there. Could this be related to undx'd Celiac or is that a crazy idea?

I wouldn't think it would be related to celiac disease at all. The woman had a severe tear from having a baby. That means she tore all the way into her rectum when pushing. I knew a girl that had to have this surgery done too. She later had to have ceserean sections for other births, because of the reconstruction they did.

I know someone who had this type of surgery, too. She is in her 60's. In her case, it had nothing to do with Celiac--or any disease.

Okay - good then. Guess I just look at the world through Celiac colored glasses now - lol! This woman is in her early 40's but since I've never had kids, I did not know this could happen with childbirth. That's just awful. Thanks for alleviating my concerns.

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
