I'm sorry! I have no idea, I've never heard of it. I had some dreyers the other day that was gluten-free though, it was sooooo good. I haven't had ice cream since all this started, i've probably had better, but that was the best friggin ice cream I had ever eaten!!! Do they have a web-site? I'd be searching if I were you!

My daughter has it all the time and loves it - if I recall correctly, there are a couple flavors that are not gluten free (cookie pieces, etc.). There are two flavors she really likes. I think the names are Cherry Nirvana and Peanut Butter ZigZag.

You might also try "Good Karma" brand Rice Cream. I think their website is www.goodkarmafoods.com. Their carrot cake flavor is really good.

Ooh, sorry.

I can't help but think we oregonians are getting the shaft with this gluten business! I can only think of two places, one of which is 40 miles away, that have gluten free menus. I have heard of all sorts of places that have theese menus, but they aren't around here. Just had to whine.

found good karma organic rice cream at co-op for only 2.50 so i picked some up.. nevr any cc issuse right?

i ate some anyways, omg so goood, i hope it dont make me sick but i really dont care it tastes soooo good, i crushed up some fudge cookies from enjoy life into it, ahhh mouth salivating

lonewolf Collaborator

I've eaten it without problems. According to their website they only make gluten-free, dairy-free stuff, so I can't imagine how they could have CC.

pinkpei77 Contributor

good karma is completely gluten-free.

they dont make anything that isnt gluten-free.

so no issue of cc there.

i also eat turtle mountain "so delicious" and "purely decadent" without any problems and im super sensitive!

they are super careful about cc. you can read their statment on their

products and website.

hope you enjoy them!!!

I eat their chocolate and vanilla all the time. I reacted once to the cherry nirvana. I suspect that for those flavors in the "smaller" containers they have shared lines. I know they use the ELISA test for their products, but for me that still doesn't cut it. The tiniest bit sets me off.

Am I mistaken, or does Turtle Mountain also make non-dairy "ice creams" with a rice source?

Anybody know?

Generally, I like their products, and their website shows that they go to great lengths to provide complete ingredient/"allergen" information. I was THRILLED when I saw in their chart (at www.turtlemountain.com) that the "Purely Decadent . . . Turtle Tracks" flavor did not contain gluten. Caramel, at last, I thought . . . . HOWEVER, I ate it on several different occasions and had several unusual reactions that I think were related to celiac disease. I wrote to the company to inquire about a possible error in their chart, but received no response.

There was nothing really definitive about my reactions, but they occurred in the same way every time I ate this product. Despite an "off the charts" antibody count, I've never had really severe celiac disease symptoms, so it's not always immediately clear to me that I am reacting to gluten. In any event, I suspect gluten is present in the Turtle Tracks flavor. I could be wrong.

Yes, I, too, have osteoporosis from years of malabsorption, too.  Thiamine and magnesium are what keep the calcium in place in the bones.  If one is low in magnesium, boron, selenium, zinc, copper, and other trace minerals, ones bone heath can suffer.  We need more than just calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones.  Riboflavin B 2, Folate B 9 and Pyridoxine B 6 also contribute to bone formation and strength.   Have you had your thyroid checked?  The thyroid is important to bone health as well.  The thyroid uses lots of thiamine, so a poorly functioning thyroid will affect bone heath.

That sounds so very likely in my case! I will absolutely ask my doctor on my next bone check coming up in March... Thanks a lot!

Calcium levels as measured in the blood can be quite deceiving as the body will rob calcium from the bones to meet demands for it by other bodily functions. Also, supplementing with calcium can be counterproductive as it tends to raise gut pH and decrease absorption. More often than not, the problem is poor absorption to begin with rather than deficiency of intake amounts in the diet. Calcium needs an acidic environment to be absorbed. This is why so many people on PPIs develop osteoporosis. The PPIs raise gut pH. And some people have high gut PH for other reasons. Low pH equates to a more acidic environment whereas high pH equates to a more basic (less acidic) environment.

Kind thanks for all this valuable information! Since my Folate was/is low and also my Calcium, there IS a chance I am low in B vitamins... My doctor only measured the first two, oh and Zinc as I has twisted her arm and guess what, that was mega low too. So who knows, until I get myself tested properly, what else I am deficient in... I did a hair mineral test recently and it said to avoid All sources of Calcium. But this is confusing for me as my Ca is so low and I have osteoporosis because of this. It is my Adjusted Ca that is on the higher side and shouldn't be. So am not sure why the mineral test showed high Ca (well, it was medium in the test but relative to my lowish Magnesium, also via hair sample, it was high I was told). But anyway, thanks again for the VitB download, I will look into this most certainly!

Hello good afternoon, I was wondering if anyone has ever brought their anti-allergy pills? I have been wanting to use their Cetirizine HCI 10mg. They are called HealthA2Z and distributed by Allegiant Health.I’m also Asthmatic and these allergies are terrible for me but I also want to be sure they don’t have any sort of gluten compound.    I have tried calling them but to no avail. Has anyone ever used them? If so, did you had any problems or no problems at all?    thank you
