Colason

I've been told over and over how great this Colason stuff is (my Mom, some aunts, etc etc...) It's like white powder that you put into water and drink. That's assuming you get the powdered version. It cleans out your colason really well and makes you use the bathroom a lot. Anyways, today is my second day taking it and I already feel so much better... maybe it'll make my recovery go faster too, get rid of all that gluten and what not.

Does anyone else take any kind of Colason?

Google brings up no information for me.

Are you sure it's spelled right?

Do you mean colostrum? It's been a while since I researched it, but from what I remember mammals produce something that's very concentrated in their milk right after giving birth. I think it's supposed to help the immune system of the newborn. Most of the stuff on the market is from cows. From what I've read, it seems like it can be miracle cure for a wide range of problems.

I did try it and didn't notice much improvement. I took the pill form. This was before I went gluten-free and was very sick - fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, depression, stomach pain, vertigo, etc. Looking back, I'm not sure if anything would have helped me other than a diagnosis of celiac.

I don't remember reading anything about cleaning out the colon, but it's possible it does that, too.

If it's colostrum, I used to take it, but I cannot have dairy ... because of that, it was no help for me.

Yes, @trents is right, ascorbic acid can be irritating.  Do you take it with food? Do you take other supplements or vitamins? Do you eat processed meats?   Is your diet high in carbohydrates?

Be careful with C supplementation. It's ascorbic "acid". Too much can cause stomach and gut irritation.
