I have been doing so well lately and loving it, yesterday I ended up nausous and bed ridden around 2....I had only eaten my normal egg whites and turkey and cheese....I dont get nausous and I wasn't running to the bathroom as usual so i was totally confused....well later that night I decided I had to eat something. I got out the turkey and when I looked at the bag the expiration date said JULY 6th 2004....I couldnt believe it....I just bought it on saturday!! Figures!! I finally get to feeling better and something like this happens. Needless to say the grocer will be hearing from me and I'm finding a new favorite store.....

Heather-

Make sure to let the store and the company that the turkey was made from know that they are carrying expired stuff on the shelves. Food poisoning is not something that we need to deal with!! I hope you get to feeling better. Drink lots of fluids and rest. It will be out of your system soon.

Wow, now that really sucks.

But to look on the bright side, you said you were finally starting to feel better? Awful little bump in the rode, but without sounding too corny, you've seen the light at the end of the tunnel! So hopefully once you recover from this, you'll be out in the light. =)

I don't know if it helps any celiac3270, but my day has been good. Though only because an artist friend dedicated a new piece to me, which was really nifty! Not physically feeling better yet, lol.

Gotta take what good you can find! Boy, feeling much more positive than my last vent on the boards.. err, sorry, I ramble too much. =D

Heather--

Sorry to hear about the turkey :( I'm glad that you've been doing well, and hope things continue to work out for you.

Alexolua: Haven't you felt the same way sometimes? Everyone on this message board has found "the good"--"the good" is simply being here and connecting with others who share similar experiences.

Alexolua Explorer

That's true. Also if I hadn't found this message board, I'd be listening to my doctor when he says I don't have celiac disease. That'd suck! Nice seeing others have doctors like that, well not nice for them, lol. =)

Thanks so much to all of you for making my bad day not so bad....I love you all

This is really helpful  I had not considered sugar alcohols or inulin as triggers. Thanks for the practical baking tips too color coding and baking G F first makes a lot of sense. Thiamax (TTFD) plus a B-complex, and if you want benfotiamine, the Life Extension formula covers that at ~100 mg.

High fiber can definitely cause sudden GI distress especially if it’s a new addition but accidental gluten exposure can feel similar. Keeping a simple food/symptom log and introducing new gluten-free foods one at a time can really help you spot the pattern. Thanks for asking  I’m mainly looking for gluten-free staples and snacks. Any recommendations for brands or go-to items would be appreciated.

sorry a bit confused so I should take my B complex along with Objective Nutrients Thiamax for TTFD but what about a Benfotiamine to take. The Life extensions contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine together or im confusing myself. I am trying to see if I take Thiamax what should I take for Benfotiamine. Thanks EDITING after further research I see ones water soluble ones fat soluble. So I guess 100MG as you suggested of Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. and the Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     would work for me.

I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.
