1st. The biopsies showed no signs of malignancy. Thats just awesome.

Also, I tested negative for celiac. Half of me is happy because that means I can keep my current lifestyle, and half of me is sad because now I most likely have to go in for the dreaded colonoscopy. I think I now have more questions than answers.

Gee Ashley, that's good no cancer but more questions...well so about that but hope you get some answers soon with colonosopy and you'll feel healthy soon.

No answers are so common with most of us, esp your Mom.

Hugs to you both.

Congratulations! Psst...the colonoscopy isn't so horrible...just the prep, lol. :P

That is great news Ashley. Sorry you are having a colonoscopy. I am going to have another one before the end of the year. The prep for it is the worse, but the procedure is not much at all. Let us again know what you find out. Hugs.

Kitty, to correct the anemia I got IV iron and B complex for 30 days. Then my next step will be test for nutritional deficiencies.

Welcome to the forum, @nataliallano, There's a dozen or so vitamins and about as many minerals that our bodies need to live and thrive.  Our vitamins and minerals can become depleted in Celiac Disease due to malabsorption and inflammation, so we need to eat a nutritionally dense diet, and keep inflammation to a minimum.

No, not if you've got an official diagnosis already.   Let's continue our conversation on this thread... Thanks

Welcome to the forum, @nataliallano, What was done to correct your anemia???  Have you been tested for other nutritional deficiencies besides iron?  You will want to get checked for nutritional deficiencies before starting supplementing essential vitamins and minerals.

Hi Kitty, I know I'm celiac from a blood test from 15 years ago but I wasn't strict with the diet. I don't have gastro symptoms. But i am having vertigo ringing ear and ear pressure brain fog. Should a confirm with genes test?
