Quick! What Brands Of Canned Sweet Potatoes Are gluten-free?

I have Princella brand in my pantry, but I read on their website that they can't guarantee they are gluten-free. The ingredients are safe, but you never know.

I was hoping to make a sweet potato dish for my OKC Celiac meeting tonight but I certainly don't want to make myself and anyone else sick!

Thanks!

I have a can of Bruces Yams. the ingredient list says Sweet potatoes, water, corn syrup, and sugar. Looks ok to me. I got them at walmart.

Bruce's Yams are OK. Ate them for years with no problems. They're off my list now only because of the corn syrup.

I don't know, but I *highly* encourage the use of real sweet potatoes - much better tasting! ;)

I agree. With corn and soy allergies now, I've resorted to cooking almost everything from scratch. Instead of canned sweet potatoes, I bake my own. Everything about them is better than canned. Plus, things like sweet potatoes and waffles leave a nice aroma in the kitchen. I love coming home, opening the kitchen door and getting a whiff of the waffles I cooked for breakfast. It's a great welcome home.

I've ate the Bruces a few times with no problems except the fact that they taste like crappy canned yams.

Go the extra mile and cook fresh ones, your guests with thank you by cleaning their plates!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
