I am a big JC Penney mail order shopper and always use the promotional code in order to get their current mail order discount. However, most of the time I do not get my "post card which states the code" until after the sale expires. Either they mail out too late or my post office is lazy - no way to tell which is the reason.

Anyway, I thought that if me and other JCPenney mail order shoppers would pool our resources we could alert each other when we know of a new "code" for their discount; this would help if someone else has the misfortune of missing the code name or number.

right now I do not have a current code for them, but I had to order anyway. So if anyone knows a current code please share it along with its expiration date.

This will really help those who are still Christmas shopping.

Thanks.

You might want to sign up for e-mail notices. That seems to work out very well for me. The last e-mail that I got was for free shipping on orders over $49 It is good until Tomorrow. Dec 11th.

How to get free shipping throughout jcp.com:

1. After adding items to your shopping bag, proceed to the shopping bag page. Select "yes" under "Discounts" to indicate that you are using a promotional code.

2. Enter code DIAMOND in the "promotional code" box on the following page. Your discount, if applicable, will be reflected on the order summary page at final checkout.

3. Shop now! Offer ends December 11, 2006.

Enjoy!!

Jessica, I am signed up for email and this is my story as to why it's best to use the Promotional Codes and order over the phone instead..

The website warehouse is different than the phone ordering warehouse....the website warehouse runs out of stock almost immediately as soon as they publish their catalog or put the item on the site. I have ordered items over website and found out that the item is "permanently unavailable" then took that same code number and ordered over phone and got the order in.

The phone ordering requires a Promotional Code in order to get the discount that you'd get on the website. My feeling is that Penney limits the stock that they want to sell on the website - meaning that they aren't really interested in giving a discount on all their merchandise - only selected styles/items.

My feeling is that when you order a lot, like I do, they will provide you with the Promotional Code in order to keep your business. I believe they discriminate between regular customers and those who only buy once in a while over the website.

If the stock over the website is limited then Penney is controlling the sale terms, and the only way around that is to know the Promotional Code for the discount over the phone.

As soon as I get a postcard I'll post what the code is & its expiration date.

For me, getting a 30% discount can be more savings than free shipping...but thanks anyway.

Well sorry you are in such a huff with JcPenney's. Maybe someone else will appreciate the free shipping. Here is the new code that I got today.

Again it is a free shipping on orders over $49. It expires on December 17th. Hope it helps someone.

It looks like "mannite" is another name for "mannitol": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mannitol You are correct that it can trigger IBS-like symptoms, as we recently did an article on this: I'm not sure if there is a way around this, as it is likely needed for the test. Perhaps contact your doctor to see if there might be an alternative?

Oral drink: You will be given a solution of mannitol mixed with water to drink over a period of about 30-60 minutes this is what it says it is ,?

Brilliant thankyou for the information I will contact them tomorrow, I was just concerned because I'm already in a bowel flare too , and I didn't want to take anything that would cause me more issues , especially with the way sweeteners make be feel I've had a really bad throat from this type of stuff before , and it upsets my digestive system too and I have a wedding in a week 😳

There is no scientific evidence to suggest that hydrated silica or its relative, silicon dioxide, triggers a celiac-specific immune response or causes intestinal damage in individuals with the condition. The concern you likely encountered online is a common misconception. Here’s the key distinction: the protein in gluten (gliadin) is what causes the autoimmune reaction in celiac disease. Hydrated silica and silicon dioxide are minerals, chemically inert compounds of silicon and oxygen, and are completely unrelated to gluten proteins. They are widely used as abrasives in toothpaste and anti-caking agents in food powders because they are stable and non-reactive. While any individual can have a unique sensitivity to any substance, there is no mechanism by which these silica compounds would mimic gluten or exacerbate celiac disease. Your diligence in using a certified gluten-free toothpaste is the correct and most important step, as it eliminates the risk of cross-contamination with wheat-derived ingredients like starch. Based on current scientific understanding, the hydrated silica in your toothpaste is not an issue for your celiac management.
