My mom send me 2 bags of Tom Sawyer flower when she found out my daughter had Celiac disease.

Before I have just used it to make a roux for soups or gravy and one time used it cup for cup in my grandma's chocolate chip cookie recipe, but the other I adapted a recipe for Red velvet cake using this flour cup for cup and then added some extra fat and leavening agents! It was AMAZING! I was so happy that we can have Red Velvet cake on valentines day! (My family's tradition)

Today I made some bread with it... also amazing :)

Anyone else have good success with this flour or am I just getting lucky?

I haven't tried it yet, but it's one of those names that I've seen other people mentioning having good luck with.

It's so great when you can keep a tradition that you thought you wouldn't be able to. I never thought of Red Velvet Cake on Valentine's Day. What a cool tradition. Enjoy your cake.

:D

Thiamine interacts with all the other B vitamins.  Thiamine and B 6 make a very important enzyme together. With more thiamine and other vitamins available from the supplements your body is absorbing the ones you need more of.  The body can control which vitamins to absorb or not.  You're absorbing more and it's being transported through the blood.   It's common to have both a Thiamine and a Pyridoxine deficiency.  Keep taking the B Complex. This is why it's best to stop taking supplements for six to eight weeks before testing vitamin levels.

Yes I took a supplement that had B6 in it, low dosage though. I've stopped taking that. B1 doesn't affect other B vitamin levels?

Have you tried lip balm made from tallow?  It's been used for thousands of years and works better than those with waxes. I prefer Vintage Traditions brand tallow balm products.

Are you taking a B 6 supplement or a supplement containing B 6 like a B Complex?  Do you have pins and needles in your toes?   Don't worry about the thiamine being high.  The blood is a transport system that carries thiamine to the cells so they can store it.  It's fine.

Quick question, had some blood tests done again and once again my zinc was too low but now ofcourse my B1 was too high and so was my B6. The doc said to  immediately  stop all supplements that contain B6. Can using thiamine raise the levels of B6 too?
