Funny you should ask. I am actually a certified pilates instructor working on a pilates based web-site right now. I'm actually working on an article reviewing the top selling (though not always the most effective) pilates videos to post on my site.

Winsor pilates is known, to the pilates instructos who under-go rigorous training, as a joke. We always remark "they must have OUTSTANDING marketing" because these tapes are not exactly "high quality" instruction.

Their latest gimmick is a "guaranteed" certain amount of weight loss in something absurd like ten days. Any fitness professional will tell you this is really just impossible, not to mention not too healthy. I think the only way you can loose the weight they claim (can't remember off the top of my head) in 10 days is to fast! And fasting is a whole different conversation.

So I would say... if your going to buy a pilates tape - great! But don't waste your money on winsor pilates tapes.

If you want more pilates info, check out my profile!

Hope this helps!!

I've been doing Windsor pilates since 2001 at least 3 days a week. It saved my back from physical therapy (after my daughter was born) and bi-weekly trips to the chiropractor. I go back in once every 6 mo just for an adjustment, and he tells me to keep doing what I'm doing because my back looks great----not to mention the 6 inches I lost off my waist in 2 months--I SWEAR!!! I swear by it and so do my 2 best friends--I got them hooked too. I have tried 2 or 3 other tapes and hated them all. I can't go out to a class b/c of 2 small kids, so it's perfect for me!!

This is strictly my opinion, but several years ago when the Windsor Pilates infomercial first came out I was like you and very interested in trying it. I didn't know anything about Pilates at the time so I had nothing to compare it to, and the infomercial sounded so convincing, like this was what I needed to buy- so I did. I tried all of the videos one time through and was not very impressed, I didn't feel like there was much substance to the program, I certainly wasn't getting a good workout, and most definitely I felt like it was a waste of my money.

Fast forward a handful of years to the present, now that I have been taking pilates classes at the gym for about a year and have something to compare the Windsor videos to, I can see why in the Pilates world it is considered to be a joke (as ZoFlies mentioned).

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
