Pituitary Hypothyroidism

hi,

from what i've read this a rare, but i was wondering if anyone else has this kind of hypo? that's what my n.d. suspects/concluded from blood tests. i've been taking a supplement for the pituitary and hypothalmus with my thyroid for a week now, and notice a much better improvement than i did with this just the thyroid. better skin, sinus problems and brain fog are less severe, though definitely still there. i'm just wondering if these supplements will be enough?

My husband is going through this now. He is not Celiac but we believe HypoPit. He is taking Armour and HydroCortisone and after 10 months is only a bit better. He gets terrible temp swings of hot and cold , can't perspire, fatigue, low in all hormones including DHEA, Testosterone etc. His next testing is to test for Pit Tumours. 20% of people have Pit Tumours without knowing it, and most are benign but its important to think of that and be tested if symptoms continue.

I hope they figure out what is going on with your husband. My n.d. says sometimes the pituitary just begins to stop working in some people, it can happen even without tumors though of course it is still good to check. I think it must have something to do with how one thing always leads to another. I am trying to find some additional herbs to take for it but there's really not as much additional information out there about secondary hypo specifically.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
