I got glutened bad at a wedding i believe. I also got trashed (Wine)and was vomitting the whole day Sunday. I felt okay yesterday, but today i have major weakness in my arms and legs, and am exhausted. Why do i feel worse today than yesterday. What are some great remedies to recover ASAP. Thanks Guys! I think the glutening and hangover is a brutal combination, and i deserve the aftermath for not taking care of myself.

So sorry you're feeling bad. The wine may have contributed in the excess. Today I ate out with my daughter and felt that I ate safely. Late afternoon and tonight I feel like I am underwater. My arms are heavy, legs are heavy and all in slow motion and major fatigue. 24 hours will be the determining factor to a gluten effect.

I have found that the longer you are gluten free, the harder the hit.

You got ove the hangover and now you're dealing with the gluten effect. Water, water, water, at least it will get the alcohol out of your system. The gluten just needs to run it's course.

Hope you feel better soon.

Ugh. Sorry you're feeling so awful. Immodium can help if you're still having GI symptoms (the caplets are gluten-free). I've had some luck with a product called Glutenease if you want to give that a shot. I've found that it doesn't help prevent a glutening, but if I've been glutened it seems to help soften the symptoms. I'm not sure if it would work this long after you were glutened. I take it ASAP after.

I agree with @trents, they should have run a total IgA.  What was the normal range for the DGP IgA test?  Different labs use different units thus have different normal ranges.

      Thanks for your assistance.

Get your total IGA checked to make sure your celiac antibody test scores are trustworthy.

I do eat 4 slices of wheat bread with almond butter. Yes it was a reference to my iron consumption.

To give you a frame of reference for pretesting gluten consumption necessary to ensure valid antibody testing, here is the current recommendation for those who have been on a gluten free diet: The daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten (about the amount in 4-6 slices of wheat bread) for at least two weeks. Not sure why you mentioned eggs and chicken. They are not sources of gluten. Was that in reference to dietary iron consumption?
