Aster "asteraceae" Plant Allergies

I appear to be allergic to many plants in the Asteraceae family. Unfortunately I'm finding out the hard way what plants that involves. I just discovered another one last night: Chicory.

Does anyone else have an issue with Sunflowers, Ragweed, the Stevia plant, Chicory and who knows what other edibles foods or herbs that might be related. Trying to do a search on something like that is driving me nuts, and I don't really understand enough about plant families to understand how big the family is and what could cause me problems.

I'm hoping maybe someone else out there has been there before me.

Melons! I found this one out the hard way.I had an Allergic reation to honeydew and cantelope actually I seem to handle a few pecies of them ok, had bad reation when I ate Rita's Italian ice in "twisted melon" that is mostly juice and chunks of fruit. I almost had to go to the hospital with that one.

They also say bananas and tomatoes, but I don't seem to have problems.

Congrats! Can you share the recipe? We just picked up a bread maker from an estate sale and are experimenting.
