I don't know the answer to your question but I'm sure someone else will. I do however want to know which products you were asking about. I LOVE Dr. Hauschka products but haven't yet tried to contact them to find out which ones are gluten free. Do you mind sharing whatever information you have found so far?

Can you tell me the names of the two products? Thanks! :)

I was using Dr. H - but when I called and found out the yellow colored face moisturizer (I foget the name) had wheat germ oil, I quit. They said it was gluten-free, but I was not into taking chances.

I switched to My Chelle, which I like. (I like Dr. H. better though, to be honest).

As a sidenote...I've noticed I need face lotion less than I used to. Maybe a positive side effect of Celiac.

hi

i just emailed them as well to inquire about all thier products and i got this response today:

Dear Jessica,

Thank you for your recent inquiry. Gluten, a naturally-occurring

protein in wheat and other grains, is found in hydrolyzed wheat protein

used in Dr.Hauschka Body Washes. Cleansing Milk and Herbal Hair

Conditioner contain fermented grain extract, which may also contain

gluten. These products are not suitable for people with allergies to

wheat. Those with celiac disease can safely use these products if they

avoid getting the product in the mouth. Wheat germ oil and alcohol are

wheat-derived ingredients that do not contain gluten. We have verified

to the best of our ability that no other gluten or wheat substances are

used during the manufacture of Dr.Hauschka Skin Care or its ingredients.

Please feel free to contact the Customer Service Department at the

number below with any further questions.

Kindly,

Thank you for the update. I guess it's up to the consumer to decide if wheat germ oil contains gluten or not! I haven't looked into it yet so I have no comment.

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
