Ok...I couldn't find the other thread....I email Camel and asked if gluten was an ingrediant in their smokes and they said....

This is in response to your recent email about gluten. I would like to let you

know gluten is not an additive in any of our cigarettes or cigarette structural

materials.

I hope this information is helpful.

Yikes, I've been wondering that too but didn't feel like asking since smokers always feel like 3rd class citizens. I used to smoke Marlboros but now smoke the Speedway brand cuz I like it better.....plus it's much cheaper to boot. I've wondered what they might use to "glue" the paper together. Since I've

now been getting better (no more accidents!), I figured they were alright......anybody else know?

I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞

I did ... But aren't we going to be vitamin deficienct if we are not eating due to being sick ?? If the food we eat is gluten free and we have other sensitivities , how do we get out of the cycle??  Thank you
