Eating Out- A Onion Ring Was In With The Fries-argh!

Hi! Being we are still new to this we have not eaten out very much. I thought we were doing everything right - asked if the fries were gluten free, asked if made in a dedicated fryer, told them she had celiac disese and that the fries could not be made in the same fryer as the onion rings, chicken nuggets, etc. So we get the order, sit down, and start to eat. All of a sudden my daughter stops eating with her hand in mid air saying "Mom look!!" and lo and behold there was an onion ring mixed in with the fries!! ARGH  !! I am sending a letter to this restaurant explaining Celiac Disease and how things like this can not happen. The reason I want to write to them is because I know there are more people with Celiac that would probably like to eat there so I feel that they should get educated. I know we got educated and need to really really make our wishes known.

Just had to get this off my chest.

Found out the the HCTZ doesn't have gluten in it.  But for me it made my sodium level drop so low, I ended up in hospital.  So it is gluten free, but didn't help my blood pressure levels. Everyone is different.

You are right, it does say that it doesn't contain gluten: https://www.gaviscon.ie/products/gaviscon-advance-aniseed-flavor-liquid/   Is there any chance you have a sensitivity to one of its many other ingredients?

Palmers pure shea vanilla body lotion has got oat extract as an ingredient, just to be careful as oats that are not specifically gluten free have risk of contamination with gluten containing grains.
