I was just in Edmonton this past weekend and I was TOTALLY impressed with all of the places where you can get gluten free foods! We ate at OPM... AMAZING!! Joey's and Milestones and there were literally about 5 more places that my friend pointed out to me as we were driving by that had gluten free menus. She had looked them up before I came and I was totally impressed. I liked that OPM and Joey's had gluten free menus done up that had lots of choices and looked nice and professional. I wish I could move those places into Regina!!

Just wanted to share for those who are in Edmonton or going there for a trip :D

Yup and Edmonton is home to Kinnickinnick Foods...

my parents live in Sherwood Park, just outside of Edmonton, most of the mainstream stores carry the kinnickinnick products..

maybe the international appeal of gluten-free has been notice in Edmonton.

Sandy (further south in Alberta but know Edmonotn well)

Welcome to the forum! This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):    This article may also be helpful:

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.

I was commenting on the report saying it did not mention migraines! Yes it does last paragraph says have not seen any evidence that Celiac cause migraines! I thought this was about truth?

It has been known for some years that celiacs suffer from migraines at a higher rate than the general populatation. It is an established symptom.
