Hello. We stumbled upon this AMAZING restaurant in Naples, Florida last week while on vacation. It is called Food and Thought. Everything on their menu is organic and most of their dishes are gluten free. They even had two gluten free soups...I can never order soup in a restaurant. It is a counter service, casual place. The food was fantastic. The restaurant is located inside their little organic market. Everything in the market is organic as well and they had a lot of great gluten-free foods there too. I would highly recommend this place. The website is foodandthought.com and they are located at:

I actually live here in Naples, and honestly didn't know it existed!!!!! I'm SO excited to go and try it. I even read that they do not use soy oil, that's fabulous! Thank you for letting everyone know. :D

You're welcome! We ate at another good restaurant in Naples also. They have a very extensive gluten-free menu with homemade gluten-free pasta that they make on the premises. After eating there I had some concerns about cross contamination issues as one of my daughters (three of us have celiac) had a reaction. But, here is the info in case you want to give it a try:

Noodles Italian Cafe and Sushi Bar

Mission Square Plaza -

1585 Pine Ridge Road #5 -

Naples FL 34109 -

Hi there!

I was wondering if you still live in Naples? I live here and was just diagnosed with Celiac. I have discovered a half dozen other people who have it too and we meet once a month to "support" each other in our challenges with Celiac Disease. If you still live here and would care to join us, you're welcome. Having our next meeting this Thursday.

It could well be a new intolerance developing.  Does your diet incorporate pure oats i.e. those safe for coeliac consumption?  I find I can only tolerate a certain amount, same goes for dairy in fact, then I start to get gastric symptoms.   Or have you started consuming a new type of gluten-free bread, or more gluten-free bread than normal, that might contain oats?  I remember reading a post on this forum from a woman who had started to eat a lot of loaves made with oat flour and her coeliac symptoms kicked off again.  I am sure you know this, but some coeliacs cannot tolerate pure oats.

I eat a lot of dairy but its intermittent is this burning so I would assume it would happen all the time. Plus I have been tested for lactose intolerance  etc and I am fine and the other symptoms of that I don't get. As a aside  my dad died last month after a long illness so I wonder if the stress of that might be a influence as a bodily reaction to stress.

You should be fine.  You may start feeling better within a few days.  Someone who is very low in thiamine may notice improvement within hours.   Did you get the NeuroMag  or another magnesium supplement?
