Need Help Finding Resources For Biology Report

Hey everybody,

I'm doing a research paper for an introductory biology class and the topic has to be on a personal health issue so i figured that writing about Celiac disease would be perfect! I'm having trouble finding sources that explain celiac disease scientificaly and in depth. I'm not sure exactly what about the disease i'm going to be focusing on so any source that explains celiac disease scientifically will really help me choose the direction of my paper.

Thanks much

Emily

Hi Emily, You should check out the home page here and some of the links and this site is also helpful:

Open Original Shared Link

The NIH (National Institute of Health) website will also have a lot of good stuff

Also you can do a search asking for specific info like

celiac and neurological

celiac and malnutrition

celiac and testing

celiac and diagnosis and treatment

celiac and nutrition

celiac and arthritis etc.

You could also put in gluten intolerance instead of celiac and see how much different stuff comes up.

See this site: Open Original Shared Link for PDFs of many of Dr. Fasano's journal articles.

Use www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov to find full text articles about Celiac. www.pubmed.gov usually only has the abstract of the article.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
