Hi I'm Christina from NH, I've been gluten free been told for 6 years but was tested this year and recently found out I'm lactose intolderant as well. Would love any helpful new recipies, stores, or makeup lines that are gluten free.

Welcome to the forum. I'm no longer from (Dover) NH, but there is at least one NH member on the forum.....Mistilyn. She submitted a recipe on Sept. 12, 2007 for Sorghum Flour Bread.

I'm also lactose intolerant in addition to gluten intolerant. I had additional testing done and also have a serious problem with soy......and casein. You might want to have additional testing done. I never would have known this if I hadn't done much research on this forum.

Again, welcome to the forum.

Hi Christina,

I live in Southern Maine but was born in Vermont and spent first 10 years in Walpole,NH. I use Lancome's "Le Rouge Absolu" line of lipsticks- they are gluten-free. A bit pricey, but worth it. Not sure of other lines but I do think Ecco Bella make-up (available at health foodish places or Whole Foods) is gluten-free as well.

good luck and welcome to forum,

lisa

Hey I'm from Southern NH, go to school in Beverly, MA. Any of you from NH know of any natural food markets in the Salem or Manchester area? The closest Whole Foods is a half hour from me.

Yeah, I go to the Whole Foods in Andover usually. I go to a health food stores in Dover (Dover Natural Foods).. there are a few other places around, as well. Philbricks Fresh Market (very nice, very gourmet) in Portsmouth.. But honestly, Hannafords grocery store is amazing. It's what keeps me going. It's where I always shop for my normal groceries and special ones, and then I run to Whole Foods when the list gets long enough.

I would love Whole Foods to be only a half hour away.. I think they are building one in Nashua :P

Hope this helps...

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
