Hand Sanitizers

I was wondering if anyone has any issues with hand sanitizers. I've been on a gluten-free diet for 4 years and have been having flare ups lately, and unsure whats going on!! . I recently started to use a hand sanitizer and after a bit I'll eat something, boy let me tell you my trips to the restroom have been real frequent. I have racked my brain trying to figure out was is causing my issues, well I boiled it down to the hand sanitizer, but I cannot find anything on it's web site weather or not its gluten-free...........!!!

So if someone could shed some light on this issue for me that would be great.

I know this probably isn't the response you want to hear, but do they have a phone number that you can call? I think Purell is gluten free, but I don't know about other hand sanitizers. If it's a moisturizing kind then there's a good chance it could have gluten in it as many lotions contain gluten.

If you can't get a for sure answer then I would stop using it for a month or so and then try it again and see if you get the same effect. Personally I don't like the sanitizers for multiple reasons and they do generally contain alcohol also. That alcohol may be gluten derived but they might still consider it gluten-free if it is a distilled form. Not all of us tolerate distilled gluten grains.
