Had My Kids Tested- Negative But Have Symptoms

Hi. I am fairly new here. I have Celiac Disease and I had my kids tested last week. They just had a simple test done because I have no insurance and didn't have the money for a full panel. They had a TTG IgA and a TTG IgG. They both came back negative. My 7 year old daughter has random headaches and stomachaches. Other than that she seems okay. No digestive problems that I can tell. I am more worried about my 2 1/2 year old son. He had problems from the time he was born. He would projectile vomit breastmilk and we ended up having to switch him to Nutramigen which he did okay on. Then eventually we weaned him into whole milk, but that gave him diarrhea and vomiting so we switched to Lactaid because a lot of my family is Lactose intolerant. That worked okay but he still has diarrhea occasionally that I can't explain. He has had eczema since he was born and he gets all sorts of rashes and bumps and one time he had full blown hives. The doctors deemed it "an atypical reaction to his eczema" which is crap. His weight is fine, but he did fluctuate a lot on the growth chart after he turned one until he was about two. He is pretty big for his age now though. I just worry that the test is not a positive indicator that he doesn't have it. Has anyone else had this experience?

I just found out I have Celiac Disease so I am transitioning my kitchen but have not started eating gluten free yet. Is it a good idea to just make the whole house gluten free and see if some of his symptoms resolve? Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the forum! This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):    This article may also be helpful:

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.

I was commenting on the report saying it did not mention migraines! Yes it does last paragraph says have not seen any evidence that Celiac cause migraines! I thought this was about truth?

It has been known for some years that celiacs suffer from migraines at a higher rate than the general populatation. It is an established symptom.
