Too Much Iron Absorption-adrenal Problem?

Maybe I have an untreated case of Addison's or Hashimoto's .I've heard of these on this website.I've got kidney pains and fatigue, and weight loss, and salt cravings. My doctor would only test me for Sjogren's, which I had; but not Addison's.

I seem to feel like I get too much iron ,but I tested NEGATIVE for heredity Hemochromatosis.I drink plain black tea to help fix it ,since black tea inhibits iron absorption. Iron overdose is a constant problem for me-constant. I'll have to drink a pot of tea for every little thing I eat-it gets to be a real drag. And I'll feel weak and hungry all the time.

Several articles say that could be caused by Adrenal Insufficiency, which causes a lot of things in the body to go off.

I hope to get to the bottom of this in the future. And I'll inform you all on updated posts.

Anybody with similar experiences?

My Ferritin, Iron and Trans Sat % were all mid range normal when dx with CDtwo years ago, and have been rising and rising ever since. I do have Addisons and Hashis. Not sure if there is a connection or not as others with AD and Hashis seem to normally have LOW Iron I have been researching Hemachromatosis and the genes and it seems there are 29 genes associated with HHC but the blood test only tests for two. This is a really good site with a Forum as well. Open Original Shared Link

Iron overload can cause serious problems. I do hope you are making sure that you are not taking any in the form of a supplement. I don't know how high you are but I would insist my doctor get to the bottom of it. If it is too high the most common treatment is getting rid of some blood. If you can donate blood on a regular basis that might help keep it down a bit. I hope your doctor can figure this out but if he can't try to find someone who can. A hematologist would be the person to see if needed.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
