Pepsi Products- Gluten Free

Hi, I'm new to this forum (recently diagnosed) and have learned quite a bit from reading all of your input. I was unclear about the cola issue, however. In particular the caramel coloring, so I wrote to Coca Cola and Pepsi. Haven't heard back from Coke yet, but did receive a reply from Pepsi this morning:

Thank you for your email message.

The caramel color used in our beverages is not derived from wheat, oats,

barley, rye, spelt or tricale. The additional carbohydrates from which

caramel is derived are glucose or sucrose syrup.

There is no Gluten in any of our carbonated beverages or our juice

drinks.

We take great care at Pepsi-Cola to ensure that the highest standards

are met in everything we do. In our products, packaging, marketing, and

advertising, we strive for excellence because we know our consumers

expect and deserve nothing less.

Thank you for posting this. Yes, ALL Pepsi Products are gluten free.
