Bottled Water

Ok, so I have been gluten free for two years. The thought that bottle water could contain gluten never crossed my mind until I saw a post about Dasani water being gluten free. Is there a chance for gluten in bottled water? I always drink Aquafina. I just thought i'd put this out there.

Flavored bottled water could possibly contain gluten. I grabbed a bottle of water at a meeting once without thinking to check whether or not it was unflavored. It turned out to be flavored and made me sick.

Two footnotes:

Aquafina is just purified tap water. My understanding is that the bottles now display a disclaimer to that effect.

I've switched to distilled water (as opposed to tap, spring or bottled) and feel it has had a positive effect on my health.

Plain water certainly is gluten-free. And I've never heard of a flavored one that has gluten, but obviously can't guarantee every single flavored one in the world is gluten-free.

DearPark is also gluten-free. Distilled water is inherently safe (though not exactly a nutritious choice long-term).. but mineral/spring (though usually just "packaged tap water"), colored, vitamin, tea, fruit, and any other type of "enhanced" water are enough to make set off over-cautious alarm, so I always check new brands.
