Does Anyone Want To Perticapte In A Local Group?

I was wondering if there is anyone out there that is located within the Massac, Pope, Pulaski and Johnson Counties of Illinois and the McCracken county area of Kentucky that would want to join a local support group for Celiac in the Massac County area. I already have a location which is just outside of Metropolis. Was looking for April of 09 to be our first meeting and would advertise in the "whats happening" of the Metropolis Planet and Southern Scene.

It would be once a month meeting and kids will have a place to play. If you are from this area and have interest in attending please contact me so I will have an idea of what to expect. I could use a lot of help and knowledge about this disease and support from others who know what I am going through. I know of a few groups in Paducah but with my kids and the distance I just can't make it. You can reach me at larrynbrandi@dishmail.net

      Hi. So sorry to hear about your shingles. There is a lidocaine cream that you can get at Walmart that will help numb the pain. That's what I used for mine. It can't be put near your eyes or in your ears. I hope your doctor gave you valacyclovir which is an antiviral. It does lessen the symptoms. If it is in your eyes, see an ophthalmologist. If it is in your eyes,  see an ophthalmologist.  They have an antiviral eye drop that can be prescribed.  Shingles in the eye could cause blindness.  I was unsure whether you have celiac or not.  If you do,  follow the diet.  I believe that extra stress on your body does affect everything. Shingles can recur. If you start getting the warning signs of nerves tingling,  see the dr and start taking the valacyclovir to prevent a breakout. If I sound technical,  I am a retired pharmacist.

This second opinion could provide a clearer risk-benefit analysis, helping you decide if addressing the cosmetic concern of the lower teeth is worth the potential risks for your daughter, especially if they are not currently affecting function or her confidence.

      It's strange because I'm pretty sure not too long ago I picked up a loaf of bread with B vitamins, but I can't find a single one now.  Probably cutbacks, everyone's trying to save money now!

      Eating grains typically depletes certain B vitamins, so I'm not sure why they decided to fortify with calcium and iron, but hopefully we'll see more B vitamin fortification in gluten-free products going forward.
