Ener-g Cced?

The past couple of weeks I have been up all night with gluten symptoms. Something very new to my diet is almond-butter & rice bread sandwiches.. I noticed I seemed to be a little better the day I cut back, and it's the last thing I ate each night I got so sick (though sick hours later)

I have wondered about this bread and cut it out of my diet in the past as a precaution.. it's time I called it to the jury :

Could Ener-G bread have traces of wheat?? Have any of you reacted to it?

Ener-g has a dedicated gluten free facility. I had issues with the crackers that they make and wondered about the same thing. In my case it turned out to be the soy in the crackers that I was reacting to.

I have been made sick by at least 7 dedicated lines before. One thing I have considered is their sources contaminating the raw materials, or them re-using equipment that was not formally gluten-free.

Maybe just sensitivities I don't know I have.. But I don't know what could be in the rice bread, other than rice, that could provoke an intolerant or allergic response?

Is there xantham gum in it? It is not a gluten source but some are sensitive to it. You may need to go with only stuff you know you tolerate for a bit and then add back in stuff like the bread and other questionable items one at a time for a week and see if symptoms reoccur. That can be helpful in pinpointing other intolerances.

It doesn't contain that, but it has Leavening, and Cellulose Gum (I don't know what those are?)

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
