I Wish I Was More Careful This Weekend

Sigh....the title says enough. This weekend was my mother's surprise b-day party. It was my responsibility to take mamma dukes out and keep her occupied while my father and my husband set up the party. Well we went to TGI Fridays (first mistake). Ordered potato skins (second mistake) and mom wanted spinach dip (third mistake). I wasn't going to say no to the b-day girl....but I should have said no to myself with eating that crap. Ugh.....so now I've been bumbling like an idiot since Saturday....and I've been craving gluten. It's like I'm adicted to the stuff and can't get away from it. She sent us home a lot of left overs to bring to work (cake and cheesecake). Can't fricking eat those....and now it's almost like I have the shakes from trying not to eat them. There were two slices of cheesecake left at work so I dumped soap all over it and tossed it in the trash...and the cake I've given away to friends, but for some reason they keep wanting us to have some...."in case I want any." They all know I'm celiac.....UGH!

So now I've been spacey...ADD like....studdering....heart burn, constipation and now my throat feels like it's ripped apart. It's different than when my throat will hurt as I'm getting sick.

Why can't I stop? I want to...I hate feeling like this.... :(

Well because of the way the trash can is....the container would have just sat on top. Although sounds gross - I didn't trust myself with it just sitting there. And I walk by it every time I get water. So to be safe...I soaped it. I just need my system cleared out.

I'm just angry at myself right now for letting myself get this bad....Grrrrr

      Ok, thanks for the advice, the only advice I've had that's made sense after 21years since my slight symptoms all my life turned into nasty symptoms 21 yrs ago and around 50 gp's and specialists all chasing the symptoms and not looking for the cause, after 9 years of misery I discovered my symptoms matched celiac disease and a blood test proved anti bodies to gliadin but it was too late it has changed into r.c.d. thanks again.

      Welcome to the forum, @QueenBorg! Just for the sake of clarification, your desire to avoid gluten is connected only with your dx of fibromyalgia and not celiac disease, correct?

      Thanks for the reply. I’ll call Colace to be sure.  I was just wondering if anyone had already gone through this:) I have not seen any gluten-free labeling on the package but I know that doesn’t mean it’s not gluten-free. The labeling is more of a comfort thing for me.  Do you think I need to worry about cross contamination if they say no gluten ingredients?  I’m so strict with being gluten-free but realize many manufacturers may have cya statements and the products are safe   Will look into Phillips as well. The surgeon recommended Colace and to add MiraLAX if needed so I actually need to get both as he says one of the worst things is to get constipated post surgery.
