Waffle Iron

I want to buy a waffle iron. Does anyone have one that works well with gluten free batters? Cooks evenly, doesn't stick, easy to clean...

Also, I have four children, so need one that makes more than one waffle at a time.

I have the cheap-o round one from Walmart. Big mistake! It works fine but cooking one waffle at a time for five people is torturous. I am hoping to buy the BIG one that makes four waffles at a time soon. I haven't noticed that the batters stick any more than the gluten batters. I do find that they take a bit longer to cook which makes the one-at-a-time deal even harder.

Get the biggest one you can find. Waffles freeze great and make a yummy ham sandwich.

I also have a cheap one from Walmart. It makes two at a time and has chagable plates that can also make a toasted sandwich. I like it and use it all the time. The plates pop out and can be put into the dishwasher.

I had one of the $10 round ones and just couldn't get the gluten-free waffles to cook evenly and crisp up the way I like it so I sprung for the Krupps Expert and love it. I justified it because if I don't make good waffles then I don't get them! :)

I have the $10 one from WalMart. I liked it so much I bought one for my dd. It cooks 2 square, side by side waffles. They only stick if I over fill

We have 3 for breakfast. I always freeze some for later.

I have a round cuisinart, but it only does one at a time (it was a gift and free is a good price right now, lol). I do have to spray it occasionally but mostly I have no problem with sticking.

I have a tried a number of gluten free waffle recipes and this is the one that the family likes best (and I also have 4 kids, 3 of them are 13 year triplets, so that is why there is instructions for making just 3. I taught them how to make there own).

Gluten Free Waffles

These waffles turned me into a breakfast eater!

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
