Scalp / Kinds Of Itch

Hi all,

I have been ignoring this part of the forum up till now so scuse me.

1. The talk lately of scalps makes me ask this. I pick stuff like brown glass fragments out of my hair. Before it turns into this I can't of course see what it's like nor can anyone else as I live singly. Any one got any insight into this?

2. A mention by someone of an itch that's different from a histamine reaction (sting, bite) makes me ask, anyoner give more detail on this, I want to think around how I'm feeling a bit more than I was doing and this might give me some insights.

:huh::unsure:

gapspan,

Can't help you with the "brown glass". Perhaps you are scratching and breaking the skin. Regarding odd itching scalp. I was using a hair gell that had wheat oil or some other derivitive. I switched to something else and the odd itch went away in about a week.

LOL. Love the topic description! Thanks for the laugh!

To add a 3rd question... does anyone have premature balding/thinning? I'm 27. Noticed about 10 years ago that my hairline seemed to be receeding. About a year ago I started to notice my hair thinning in that typical spot where guys always go bald (I am female). It was confirmed by my friend (who is a hairdresser) when she trimmed my hair a few months ago. She was just like, "Hey, you're getting old! You're going bald right here" and she ruffled the existing hair in the thin spot. I know stress can cause it too, and I have tons of stress.... but curious if it's a symptom of celiac.

      This doesn't answer your question but I'm not sure if you know that this intolerance is passed down from mother to child through Cord blood and or breast milk.

      I’m having this type of MRI this afternoon,  What specifically do you want to know?  From what I’ve read, not all facilities use the same drink prep.

      Hi I've been told I need a MRI on my bowels , I was booked for a colonoscopy, but because of my sever back issues and trapped nerve it can't be done , the nurse told me I will have to have a manitol drink a hour before the scan , I'm just a bit worried has I have issues with sweeteners like even a little,  I get a weird throat and ears and I've read it is a similar substance , not sure if anyone has had one of these scans or could give me some advise on the drink prep thanks in advance 😄

      Hi all ! Can a celiac attack be so intense that it causes your entire body to work in reverse? Meaning really bad pain,  neuropathy and muscle,  jaw pain,  the stomach issues , Horrible anxiety and confusion??  I had a Tums and you would think I ate poison. My jaw and stomach did not like it . Not the norm for me. Things that are simple are just out of control. Anyone ever have this happen??  I'm trying to figure out what I ate or did to bring on a celiac like attack. I had an idea before but yesterday I didn't have any gluten unless it was in a medication ?! Any positive suggestions ??  Thank you
