This site has periodically been posted here but just to remind: Open Original Shared Link There aren't a ton of them but there's an Outback not far from me and I want to visit it just to support them for having a gluten-free menu. PS how are they, never been there?

If you go to Outback, be prepared with elastic-band pants and some lipitor. I'm really glad it has a gluten-free menu, but it is definitely not the place to go for healthy eating! My boyfriend tells me he's always thought of it as a treat (not one I can have, though, because I can't digest red meat) rather than a default dinner option.

Well thanks for the warning. :o They do have salmon and grilled chicken but if you don't care for red meat the smell of it can be icky.

I also have the unfortunate disadvantage of despising salmon, and being unable to eat greasy/cheesy food. I think Outback and I just don't get along, which shouldn't influence anyone else's feelings about it!

Ha! Right - if we ever dine together, we can go to Bonefish! Where I will not order salmon!

Thanks for the congratulations! We're going to get married in my parents' back yard. It's really beautiful - my dad loves gardening and has done a great job with it. I haven't picked a dress, but I probably won't go for the traditional white gown, because I don't like tight things (thanks for that bloating, celiac disease!), look pretty washed out in white, and we're getting married outside in Virginia in July, so I don't want to be sweating the whole time in something that doesn't breathe. We'll see! I did already line up a caterer who's thrilled to do a gluten-free wedding, so, yay! She doesn't do cakes, though, so hopefully some gluten-free cake tasting is in the future. :)

Definitely! Cakes are serious business, so multiple comparisons are only sensible!

      Welcome to the the celiac.com community, @suek54! Is the Dapsone getting the rash under control? Are you practicing a gluten free diet yet? The only known cause for dermatitis herpetiformis is celiac disease.

      Hi Im new to this game, so bear with me. May through to December last year totally miserable, covered literally head to toe in the worst rash ever, itching like I just cant explain. After seven different medics told me just to "keep putting the cream on, whatever it is will go in the end" finally one lovely doc diagnosed dermatitis herpetiformis...

      Healthy Gluten Free Foods low sugar that you found?

      I know gluten free proteins like eggs and yogurt but nuts especially trail mixes are tricky as they are hard to find certified gluten free trail mixes especially w/o added sugars. I agree subscription boxes are hit or miss I think I have found RXBar with simple ingredients no added sugars gluten-free might be a great protein bar.

      I sure appreciate the information. I knew there had to be gluten consumption for the blood test, but I did not realize that also applied to biopsies.       Hi Im new to this game, so bear with me.  May through to December last year totally miserable, covered literally head to toe in the worst rash ever, itching like I just cant explain. After seven different medics told me just to "keep putting the cream on, whatever it is will go in the end" finally one lovely doc diagnosed dermatitis herpetiformis. Biopsy 6 weeks ago and Dapsone, which I seem to be tolerating OK so far.  The NHS is in permanent backlog so no result yet but just wanted to say hello to anyone else with this maddening condition.
