What To Do?!

I just realized at the end of the month I will be attending a camp for about a week and I will run upon gluten meals---YIKES! My initial thought was to bring my own meals, but I should find out if I would be able to cook that somewhere first. Would it be alright to contact the camp and discuss this matter? I have been gluten-free for a week, and I have seen incredible results. I don't want to back track, because that could lead to a rougher week at camp.

Yep, I would definitely contact the camp to see what you will be able to eat, how they can accomodate you, etc. I'm sure you're not the first with food restrictions, chances are they will have plenty of suggestions to make your week easier.

      Thoughts? Non-endoscopic Celiac diagnosis in two year old

      Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong. yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

      One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

      @GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
