Hey all-- Know where you can get additional food allergy/intolerance testing? I feel like there are some other intolerances I have besides the obvious Celiac ones. I thought I heard of a place where you could do testing via mail... Anyone know? Gracias!

York labs does testing for I think 110 or so different foods.

Yes, I had testing with York Lab for 113 food allergies. I was satisfied with their service. :)

If you go to your doctor, GI or regular, you can have a blood panel done for allergies.....

I have been wondering about this... for those of you with gluten sensitivity and celiac who have had the IgG food allergy testing -

Did your testing show any reaction or sensitivity to gluten, wheat, rye, barley or malt?

I know that celiac is NOT the same as an allergy, but both do involve the immune system.

We had our allergy testing done through the allergists office - they used Alletess Labs. I have a feeling that there is only a few labs who actually do this testing and many other local labs outsource their work to them. My test report format is the same as the test from another lab. Alletess requires that a blood sample be drawn (i.e. doctor visit). York is the only lab I know that will do the testing from a pinprick sample of blood.

Thanks,

misty

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
