gluten-free Spaghettios?

HAs anyone tried making gluten-free Spaghetti-os with gluten-free anellini? See link below:

It's expensive, but it would be fun for both of my kids to have spaghetti-os...

in Germany there's a brand called 3Pauly that has gluten-free soup stars!! They're really cool!

It's expensive, but it would be fun for both of my kids to have spaghetti-os...

in Germany there's a brand called 3Pauly that has gluten-free soup stars!! They're really cool!

I bought those...they are great! The only problem is that when you use them in soup...cook them and then put them in before serving...and don't over cook...I cooked mine and put them in the soup and they broke up .....they are very small rings ...smaller than Spaghetti O's but I don't see why they wouldn't work...but they get mushy so be careful about cooking times...

      Thank you for your response. I had read that they are more careful in the UK and the wait staff are much more aware. I always bring gluten-free snacks with me when I travel even here in the US. Airports are a nightmare to find anything that is gluten-free to eat. If you are lucky enough to find a Chick-fil-A in the airport the fries(chips) are a safe...

      Duodenum biopsy result confusion

      Thank you Knitty kitty, no I haven't thought about that. I just assumed that because my biopsy showed no lymphocytosis, celiacs was off the table. Is it possible to have no lymphocytosis and still have celiacs?

      @jamiet06, Have you thought about getting a genetic test done? You have to have genes for Celiac Disease to develop. If you don't have any of the commonly known Celiac genes, you can look for another diagnosis. Genes don't change. You don't have to do a gluten challenge to test for genetic markers of Celiac Disease.

      Yes, @Ginger38, there are other genes for Celiac besides the two most common HLA DQ 2 and HLA DQ 8. There are DQ 7 and DQ 9 to name a couple. There are others.       Thank you! This is helpful and validating, which is nice. I am so tired of gastrointestinal issues and feeling poorly. Obviously my immune system is freaking out and seeing gluten as a foreign invader… and I feel like I’m just trying to doctor myself all the time but I did wonder if it was all indicative of pre celiac or something like that. I haven’t g...

      Thank you for your response. I had read that they are more careful in the UK and the wait staff are much more aware.  I always bring gluten-free snacks with me when I travel even here in the US. Airports are  a nightmare to find anything that is gluten-free to eat. If you are lucky enough to find a Chick-fil-A in the airport the fries(chips) are a safe bet as they are fried in a fryer that is dedicated. Five Guys is also a pretty safe bet. While the only thing they fry is their fries, they also are very careful when cooking their burgers and will change gloves, and put them on a clean grill. Thanks again for all the info. All I don't want is to get sick on a much anticipated trip from food that has gluten in it.

      Yes, @Ginger38,  there are other genes for Celiac besides the two most common HLA DQ 2 and HLA DQ 8.  There are DQ 7 and DQ 9 to name a couple.  There are others.   I understand how frustrating the diagnosis journey can be.  I had a difficult time getting diagnosed, too.  But you're through that now!  Focus on your recovery and healing.  Try the AIP diet to help calm your system down.  Try supplementing with a B Complex to boost your absorption and to help heal and repair.  Benfotiamine has been shown to promote intestinal healing.  Benfotiamine helps keep SIBO in check and so reduce bloating.   Keep us posted on your progress!  Best wishes!
