Well this is my story I am a african american male and i think i do indeed have celiac disease. Many medical doctor say itz highly impossible to have it but I have so many symptom of it. For example have been diagnose with acid reflux and chronic stomach inflamation also my stool float all the time i feel so dizzin all the time and have serious mood swing but itz not celiac but they can never tell me why i feel this way i have had every blood test in the book i had a Iga test done and a upper and lower Gi test done everything came back normal i went to a allergist and been check for everything I am not allergic to anything. My question is can i have this disease and a blood test or a biopsy this be negative. Where do i go from here.

If I were you, I would just go ahead and start the diet and see how you feel. It's possible to be gluten sensitive without having celiac. I think there are several people on this board who were never "officially" diagnosed, but have gone gluten-free and feel much better.

I don't have an official diagnosis but it is so obvious what the problem is. I found out about gluten intolerance by way of the Atkins diet. I stopped eating gluten before I even knew tests were available. My health and life in general have made such a dramatic turnaround that there is no way I will eat gluten to get a test done. I am of Northern European descent, the most likely group to have celiac, but that doesn't mean that someone of African descent can't have it either. You have nothing to lose by going on a gluten free diet and everything to gain.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
