Hi I would so appreciate some advice on a good probiotic for celiac and a good fibre suppliment as I am backing up since going gluten-free...UGH.. both have to be dairy free too...

oh well so many other things are starting to feel better like my fatigue, i will take it for now, but do need advice on a suppliment to help me get things moveing until things in the intestines calm down...

Thanks so much, enjoy your day. :D

I put psyllium husks in my smoothie every morning...great source of fiber and naturally gluten free. For probiotics, I just switched back to Lame Advertisement...great for celiacs who need to repair their intestinal tracks. They add in many beneficial ingredients, such as l-glutamine to help repair and prevent leaky gut.

I also use plain psylium husks every morning. Just add it to a little juice. Works great for me. Not sure about probiotics, though. I should look into that.

great thank you so much, I will search out those probiotics. I personally have trouble with psyllium husk, funny enough it actually makes me more backed up...

I can't tolerate psyllium so have used hemp seed meal and am now using oat bran which I order from Montana Monster Munchies. I have stopped using probiotics and use goat's milk yogurt, it's easy to make. The probiotics I was using had a mix of 9 different bacteria including acidophilus. I found that advice to use the yogurt from the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. The foods on this diet don't feed the organisms in your intestine which cause gas, bloating and discomfort.

I take Acidophilus Pearls by Enzymatic Therapy. I have only tried 2 or 3 different probiotics and these seem to work the best.

You might also want to consider taking a digestive enzyme supplement. I personally take Now Pancreatin.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
