Baking Soda

I'm making my first gluten-free pound cake from scratch, and my recipe calls for baking soda--is Arm and Hammer baking soda gluten-free? I'm assuming it is based on the ingredients, but I just want to be extra careful. Thanks!

Yes, it is gluten-free. Thank God it is, too. I've never found any other brand of baking soda where I live!

UMMM Are there brands of baking soda that are NOT?? I have Kroger BS and BP in my pantry ... should I be concerned???

I don't know if other baking sodas are gluten-free, but I do know that there are some baking powders that are not--though most are. Kroger is great about verifying products, so I would just give them a ring, though more than likely, it is gluten-free.

THeres nothing in the ingredients to make me suspect at least.

Never found a baking soda that wasn't gluten-free. Somebody else said some baking powders have gluten but I don't know of any of those, either. If anybody does know of any specific brands that aren't gluten-free please let us know.
